Common Mind Champaign folks hit me! I’m headed back to the alma mater this weekend to spin for a night thrown by CU’s walking legend Matt Harsh. It’s gonna be fun, the line up is killer with sounds and visuals. I have no idea what Imma play, but it’ll be prolly somewhere around funkstepelectrohop. The folks at Original Change Project are throwing a big indoor event at Rush next Monday for MLK Jr Day. Throughout the day they’ll be holding artist workshops, cooking demonstrations, health clinics and more. Peep the press release here and come through anytime between 9AM and 2PM on Jan 18th. I’ll be playing tunes for the staff and workshop guests along with DJ ScanDLS throughout the day.

I heard last week’s set with DJ Sidewords was packed and a buncha fun and we’re gonna keep that vibe going. Come peep a master selector from the freshcoast chop it up with your local Mr limbs!

Hyperkewl - Nov 16th 6-10PM @ Barbara&Barbara Rosemary Barria throws some awesome events around Chicago and I get the privilege to perform/DJ at some of them. This upcoming one is a favorite because I get to try out new stuff without feeling too nervous. Hyperkewl will be at Barbara&Barbara a barber shop and art gallery (among other services) and I plan to do some live PA style stuff. If time allows, I’ll get renaissance musician Travis Wiggins on board with me to try out stuff in our band The Personal Effects. Otherwise I’ll be trying my best to perform my beats live with the new setup I’ve been messing with. Friend and always intriguing Orange Drink will be rocking a set too. Be sure to peep it at 1021 N Western Ave, Monday the 16th.
