I made this mix in 07 as a Christmas gift to my sister who likes to paint. It’s a mix of downtempo, hiphop, a little funk and quotes to inspire visual artists. Since then it’s gotten a few features on blogs, sites, and took on a life of its own on Soundcloud. It’s weird getting such great response these days on an older mix but shit, I’ll take it! Really happy to see one of my works stand the test of (a short period of) time.
This mix has recently getting some play even though it’s kinda a old and was a quick set of my records before I did the digital jump.

Made this mix to promote my guest gig at Modern Love every Tuesday at Liar’s Club, hosted by fellow party rockers DJ Demchuck and DJ Abducted. This space can accomodate a chill or hype vibe and the system packs plenty of bass. Real fun spinning here. DJ Ivy also dropped an ill party set that night!

I made this mix for Music is the Weapon, the first of a series of fundraiser parties I throw in Chicago. A collection of songs that inspire social activism with interviews with the featured NPOs Original Change Project, Connect Force and En Masse. Came out dope and spread the word about local groups doing good things for Chicago!
