I’m super pumped to play Beauty Bar next Friday with really talented DJs in the Chicago dance music scene.  Feelin’ like the new kid given I came up on a hiphop funk soul tip, I feel the nerves to really find ill shit to hang with these dance floor killers. Here’s a sample of the styles of tunes I’ll be dropping: Live Set from Skelectro at Stay NYC by DJ Limbs though I might get more UK funky, bassy and juke-steppy, we’ll see how the vibe works out. Cashmere vs The Amalgamation of Soundz - Perculator/Sharm (dj limbs mashup)

So I’ve been submitting a few mashups and re-edits for a record (*mp3) pool and want to share one with music heads checking this site too. This one’s pretty straightforward, one known hype cut given some fresh air with a sick bassline and syncopation from a more obscure cut. I chopped each track so the arrangements fit a bit better and left some space to mix in+out. DJs, if you drop it, let me know how the crowd reacts, and be sure to peep Late Night Record Pool! One of the few pools on the net that service underground and indie hiphop as well as the pop/electro/reggae other pools put on.
