Jero - Umiyuki

My guy Ed, aka b-boy Supapantree/Nak-ed/Kid Supa is in Japan these days and he hooked me up with some modern Enka (kinda like folk/country music to the US) music that’s blowing up out there. This video is by Jero who’s from the US (part Afro-American, part Japanese) but is getting big in Japan for his fitted cap styles and silky Enka tunes. It’s kinda odd, kinda funny, to see a very hiphop looking video to Enka but a part of me likes it and it’s real interesting to see how American hiphop imagery gets into this niche of Asian pop music.
